Mathmancer, for parents
In short: a free math card game for ages 9 to 13, in the browser. No account needed, no ads, no purchases. The game sends us nothing about your child: progress stays on this device (unless a grown-up turns on the optional family account), and a finished Daily Tower climb sends only its score, with nothing about who played.
What it is
Your child climbs a tower of monsters. Each monster hides behind shields with numbers on them, and a shield breaks when your child builds a spell, from the number cards in hand, that makes exactly that number: 3 × 4 = 12, or later (5 + 6) × 7 = 77. Between battles they pick new cards, visit shops and campfires, and solve puzzle doors. A whole climb takes about 30 to 45 minutes, and the game saves after every room, so it is fine to stop at any time.
What it practices
- Mental arithmetic with all four operations, and the times tables up to 12 × 12
- Order of operations and brackets (Common Core 5.OA.1), which the game teaches step by step
- Factors, multiples, primes and square numbers: each monster has a number rule, such as "multiples of 4", which goes into the Monster Book
- Planning: which shield to break first, and which cards to keep
- Fractions, in the second tower (the Shattered Tower): a fraction as a division (3 ÷ 4 = 3/4), equal fractions, adding unlike pieces, mixed numbers, and × and ÷ by a fraction
- Negative numbers, in the third tower (the Sunken Tower): going below zero (3 − 8 = −5), adding and taking away negatives (3 − (−5) = 8), and × and ÷ with negatives
The Math Journal (on the "Who's playing?" screen) shows each player's skills, the times facts they know and miss, and the chances they missed, with a few next steps. It is a good thing to look at together.
The first battle is a short guided lesson. The game is meant to be a real challenge: if a climb ends early, the score, the Monster Book and the Journal still grow, and the next climb starts fresh. The Daily Tower is the same tower for everyone each day.
Privacy
- Nothing that could tell us who your child is is sent to us. The nickname your child types, their progress, scores and Math Journal are saved in this browser, on this device only. Clearing this site's data in the browser erases them.
- The Daily Tower's numbers. When a Daily Tower climb ends, the game sends five things to our server (api.numberdale.com): which Daily Tower it was (whole numbers, fractions or below zero), the score, the floor reached, whether it reached the top, and the hero. Nothing goes with them that could tell who played: no nickname, account, device, address or browser. They make the line "312 climbs today around the world · yours beat 72% of the others", and we delete them after 30 days.
- Anonymous play counts. So we can tell whether the game works for children, it sends a few anonymous counts to our server (api.numberdale.com): that the game was opened today (once a day, with how many days since this device first played it), that a new player was made, that the first-battle lesson was finished or skipped, that a climb started or ended (the tower, the floor reached, the hero and the difficulty), that the Math Journal was opened, and that a Daily Tower score was shared. Nothing goes with them that could tell who played: no nickname, id, cookie, account, device, address or browser. We keep only the day's totals, for 400 days.
- An optional family account. On the players screen, behind a grown-ups check, a parent can sign in with a Numberdale family account (on our sign-in page, accounts.numberdale.com) to keep each player's progress in the cloud, play on another device, and see the family's Daily Tower scores side by side (to the family only). We then keep the parent's email and, for each player (up to 6, children or grown-ups who play), a nickname, a picture (a hero), a grade or "grown-up", and their progress. Signed out, nothing changes. More, and how to delete it: numberdale.com/privacy.
- No ads, no purchases, and no tracking across websites. We never ask for a child's real name, email, photo, voice or location.
- A page counter. The page loads Cloudflare Web Analytics, a small counter from our host. It reports that the page was opened, the site that linked here, the country and the kind of browser, with no cookies, no local storage and no fingerprinting, so it cannot tell one visitor from another.
- Sharing a score. After a Daily Tower climb, "Share my score" copies a few lines (the tower, how far, the score, the hero, the link) or opens your device's share menu. Nothing is sent until you choose where to paste or share it, and the nickname is never in it.
- The voice. The narrator is your browser's own text-to-speech. Some browsers make their most natural voices online (for example Microsoft Edge), so the game's lines may pass through the browser maker's service. The game never says your child's nickname aloud. The sound button turns the voice off.
- Like any website, requests pass through our host, Cloudflare. Our site does not keep request logs or IP addresses.

写给家长:Mathmancer(数学法师)
详情及删除方式:numberdale.com/privacy。
